Hello Ladies!

It has been a rather dismal day so far and my weather app states that it should remain so for much of the day, are we in August? I mentioned a few days ago that I was a bit shocked that we were already in August because I've only been to the beach once this summer and on that particular day, it was a bit chilly (my mom and I were covering ourselves in blankets!). I believe my pale legs clearly demonstrates their lack of love from the sun this summer, haha!

Although we haven't experienced much beach weather, at least where I live, we've definitely experienced our share of humid and muggy days, commonly associated with August, but it seems as though August has made a not so fair trade with the earlier summer months, since now we're experiencing somewhat of a dip in temps or warmer days without the annoying humid counterpart, which I certainly appreciate; but who's to say what will be, since weather has her own temperament and doesn't always like to play by the rules.

For today's outfit pairing, I decided to combine my two favorite dualities, red and leopard print, which you all know by now I love! I wore a red blazer with a white tee underneath, paired with denim distressed shorts, which keeps the look more casual. The leopard printed pumps add that femininity and takes the look up a notch.

When creating an outfit where you want a blend of two vibes, accessories are a great addition to help accomplish what you're going for. They can either enhance the look you want to be continuous or through things off a bit, you know, a bit of the unexpected. Although red and leopard aren't so abrupt, pairing them with other pieces that are more casual, such as a white tee and distressed denim shorts makes the look more unanticipated in my eyes. So, I'd suggest this look or combination when you want to go for a blend of casual and dressed up; I feel they merge well creating a meeting point between both. However, if you want to enhance one vibe over the other, select a purse that caters to that vibe to finish the look. I selected this Michael Kors clutch to enhance the dressiness of the pairing, but you can certainly add an oversized purse or cross-body to complete yours :)
