Hey Babes!

I'm very excited about today's blog post because it's an invitation for you to be apart of my very first pop up event! I've never hosted one before, so when Chloe + Isabel presented me with the opportunity, I couldn't turn it down, mainly because I love their pieces! As you may have noticed, I've kind of transferred over to more authentic pieces, although I still love costume jewelry. I'm aiming to build a timeless collection of beautiful pieces, which I hope some will one day become heirlooms. I love semi-precious and precious stones and when I learned that Chloe + Isabel work with such pieces (semi-precious) and that they're are hand made, I definitely took an interest.

I invite you all to check out their collection in the pop up I'm hosting here. I will be hosting the pop up for 3 days, starting today and ending Sunday the 5th. There are some awesome perks this weekend, such as being entered into a raffle drawing to receive 25% off your next order, after your purchase! The winner will be announced after the event has ended. Also, with orders over $100 you'll receive a free gift and free shipping! So happy shopping, I'm sure you'll find something you'll love. In the above photos, I'm wearing their Bora Bora open cuff, which features the opal stone, one of my personal favorites. Let me know what you decide to get and make sure to tag me on all photos with your pieces @jalisasfiles!

Hello Loves!

Welcome back to the blog :) Today's look is one that's very comfy and casual, perfect for the weekend or a day off. I love navy and grey together because they compliment eachother perfectly, since they're both cool tone colors. This particular color combo looks best on those with either neutral or cool undertones, making the skin appear naturally healthy and luminescent  This doesn't mean that if you're warm toned and you like this combo that you can't wear it, of course you can! It just tends to bring out the features of those who fall into those categories more. Not sure which skin-tone you are? Watch my YouTube video on how to determine it (here). To give you a heads up, if you see both colored veins (you'll understand what I mean once you watch the video) then you'd be considered neutral.

I hope this pairing inspired you. Stop by tomorrow for a very fun and exciting post!

Hey Babes!

Cobalt is a very popular color during the fall and winter months and you kind of see it fall off the map come spring and summer. Well, I wanted to provide an outfit idea showcasing how you could still wear your favorite cobalt piece during the summer months. Cobalt looks amazing paired with mint greens and various shades of pinks and purples, which I worked into today's look. Since we're working with so much color, it's a combination that would work well for any body shape, since not one particular area of the body is being showcased the most; just keep in mind the style of blouse you choose to wear it with. I always say a flowy blouse is safe for all shapes because it provides more options; you can belt, tuck it, or leave it loose. I decided to do a half tuck. Oh, and if you're petite a look like this would help to elongate the body. If you want to further enhance this effect, I suggest you wear nude shoes and use the pop of pink or purple with you purse ;)

I hope this post gave you some inspiration to work with! Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Hey Girlies!

Today's post will hopefully get you started on your 4th of July holiday (outfit) planning. It's a special holiday for us Americans and many of us will be celebrating in various settings, so I wanted to put together a set of looks I came up with for any occasion that you'd be able to pull ideas from or even shop the set you like the most. I hope you find it helpful :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and are off to a great start to your week. Today's look is one that's perfect for a summer event, such as a brunch or baby shower. It features a rose and gold combination that I feel is perfect for summer. The tunic is actually a dress, but it would be way too short on it's own, which is why I decided to pair it with these light and breathable leggings. Since the top and leggings have detail and shimmer, I wanted to through in a matte solid, which is why I selected these sandals.

I also wanted to note that since the front and back of the tunic are low and have a bunch of cut outs and details, I used nipple covers because wearing a bra with this was out of the question. A few months ago, Bye Bra reached out to me to review their covers and since I knew I would definitely be needing/wearing them at some point during the summer, I decided to try them out. The one's I'm wearing are their free silicone nipple covers and they're quite comfortable and I would suggest you give them a try. They have a sticky substance on the inner part of the cover, which holds firmly to the breast and it also comes with a breast lift tape for additional support (you can read more on them here).

What do you think of the look? Share your thoughts in the comments' section and thanks so much for stopping by :)
