Hello Beauties & Gents!

I've been doing a lot of window shopping lately; I've been behaving! I wanted to share the pieces I'm loving, in case you'd love them and are in the market to do some shopping. Many of you direct message me on Facebook asking my thoughts about specific pieces and what I'd suggest, so I thought this would be a great way to showcase what I love and would suggest to all of you. Oh, and I wanted to share the I'm planning on making some BIG changes to the blog within the next couple of months, which I'm super excited about and I know you all are going to love it! Anyway, here's a look at some things I'm craving and hopefully soon I can satisfy some of those cravings, hehe!

Happy Monday everyone!

It's finally been looking and feeling a lot more like spring around here, yay! Aside for a random summer day we had on Saturday, it was near 80! Hey, I ain't complaining, especially with the winter we experienced here in New York, bring on the warmer days! Anyway, it's been beautiful out with some chills, nothing a cute jacket can't help with. I've really been loving colored leather jackets this spring. I purchased two so far and if I come across another great deal, I will certainly be adding to my collection. Every woman should have a basic black leather jacket, it's certainly a wardrobe staple; but it's also great to mix in some fun and interesting seasonal pieces and this pastel blue faux leather is perfect for those chilly spring days. I've actually been wearing it a lot since I purchased it over a month ago and Eddie was shocked that I had yet to share it on the blog, well until now!

This overall pairing would look great on all the body shapes, with a minor tweak. I would pay attention to the style of jacket you're purchasing, which can of course effect the entire look. One thing my apple, inverted, and hourglass shaped ladies I know have experienced, is the bulge around the bust when the jacket is zipped up and there's a lot of pockets and a large collar around the bust, particularly if you are very busty and in any of those three body shape categories. This won't matter much if you don't tend to zip up your jackets, but rather leave them open for a more casual, laid back look. However, the larger collars and zipper details found on most motto styles can still cause the bust to appear larger, even when just resting on the bust, so you may just want to consider selecting a style that doesn't have as much detail, especially since the color is sure to be enough pop for your look ;)

I hope you enjoyed the post and come back soon! Thanks so much for stopping and please don't forget to stay beautiful, confident, and true to your beautiful self!

Hey ladies and gents!

So we're now in weekend two of Coachella, which inspired me to create a look that I would wear if I were attending, sadly I'm not, booo!! But, we can certainly sport the boho/gypsy like vibe for the weekend at home and bring the festival vibes to us now can't we?! Coachella unofficially kicks of spring fashion and so us fashion lovers look forward to seeing what trends our favorite celebs and fashion cohorts are sporting, it's kind of like fashion week, minus the frenzy and luxurious designers.

What kind of prints or pieces should one look for to sport the Coachella vibe? I'd say keep an eye out for florals, fringe, paisley, and did I say florals?! Much of the looks you'll see are casual and relaxed, a lot of flowy and oversized pieces, as well as matching and mixed separates. Below are some other options, other than my outfit that would be perfect for this weekend or for the remainder of spring:

I hope you all enjoyed the post and found it helpful! As always, don't forget to stay beautiful, confident, and true to your beautiful self!

Hey everyone!

I hope you're all having a wonderful day so far, if not, I hope you do after reading today's post! Today's look is a biker-rocker-edgy-yet chic look. We've got quite a lot going on here! Ever since I purchased this vest, which I've been eyeing for about a year now (don't ask why I didn't buy it a year ago, I don't know the answer myself!) and when I finally decided to snag it, one of the looks that came to my mind while trying it on was this one. At that time, however, I didn't have the perfect fitting leather jean/pant. The ones I've had were either too small or stretched out tremendously after the first few wears. The one that I have that's more of a pant style from H&M, I adore, but I was looking for something that resembled a pair of jeans and I finally found it while browsing through a Guess Factory store. The price was right and so was the fit, so it was definitely worth the wait!

Have you ever been on a motorcycle before? I have and the thrill is quite awesome! Here in the states, bikers tend to have a tough look about them, which includes the female  entourage. For years, I've admired their accomplished ring stacking and necklace layering, which I know are worn without much thought, but I guess that fits the mood and makes it that much more appealing. I pulled some inspiration of watching these female bikers walk around the city streets, making their stops into the local pubs and billiard halls. Yes, the stereotype which is portrayed in every action packed movie with bikers is true, at least here in NY, especially upstate! The unanimous style of a biker chick encompasses silver, spikes, studs, and leather all of which I've included in this look. However, I feel that mine has a bit of a more feminine twist, since my hair is worn with loose curls and I'm not wearing biker boots. What I've always loved about these boots was that they're cowboy boots, but they have more of an edgy, biker look to them, which I don't tend to see much of.

When it comes to your body shape, all four figures could sport this look without any changes. Of course, you can tweak what you'd like to encompass your personal style or taste, but if not, this entire look is guaranteed to look great on you. I do want to mention that the vest length can certainly change this. What makes this look work for all shapes is that it's not cropped and falls right at the hip bone. If you're an apple or inverted triangle, depending on your comfort level, you may want to avoid a cropped style that will hit between the bust and midsection, it'll create the illusion of a much larger bust and stomach.

I hope you all enjoyed the post and decide to recreate it. If you do, feel free to tag me @jalisasfiles :)

Don't forget to stay beautiful, confident, and true to your beautiful selves!
