So it's Friday! It came back again really quickly, perhaps it feels that way because of the long holiday weekend. Nonetheless, I'm happy it's Friday because it's one more day closer to me and Eddie's date night, a night I eagerly await all week long! Every week I find myself in the same dilemma  finding that perfect outfit. It's something practically all of us women go through when getting ready to go out, a closet filled with clothes, yet nothing to wear. I thought it would be pretty cool to brainstorm in a post on 3 looks I would personally love to wear for a summer night out, which will hopefully make your life easier, too!  Let me know which look is your favorite!

Thanks for stopping by!

I absolutely love pattern mixing, especially when there's bright and beautiful colors involved! Even though you can pattern mix all year round, I find it most fun during the summer months. Now that we have unofficially entered into the summer season, I decided to wear this fun, colorful skirt I purchased a few weeks ago. As soon as I saw it, this top, which I already had, came to my mind to pair it with. I love the way they look together, since the skirt has some subtle black and white, it blends perfectly.

Do you tend to shy away from pattern mixing, even though you really like the way it looks, because you think it wouldn't look good on you? Well, I'm hear to tell you that regardless of you age or body shape, it WILL! Check out my video, "How to Pattern Mix Like a Pro." In the video, I explain some simple strategies to keep in mind for your shape to ensure that you'll look and feel great in your bold and beautiful look; let's get creative!

Happy Saturday everyone!

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far. This look will hopefully give you an idea of what you can wear tonight, if you're planning on going out, but stumped on what to wear. You know, the common problem us women have, a closet full of clothes, but nothing to wear! I purchased this vegan leather jacket sometime during the beginning of April. It was honestly love at first sight! I have been searching for a pink leather jacket for what seems like forever and I just hadn't found one I really liked, until I saw this one! I've been reaching for it so much lately and I'm surprised to have learned that it goes with a lot more than one might think; I'll try to include more looks featuring it, so you can see for yourselves.

Now I know the odds of you all having a printed dress with the same exact color scheme is unlikely, but it can at least give you an idea of some colors it would look great with, such as green and blue, two colors found in the dress. If you don't have a pink leather jacket, a pink blazer would work just as well. Below are some suggestions of looks I created for the different body shapes, I am wearing the pear shaped version.

Why this look works for the apple shape? Since this particular jacket has an extended color and has more of a moto style, which can add some visual weight to the bust area of the apple shape, I selected a dress with a v-neck, which will counteract that effect. The v-neck helps to elongate the bust area and trunk of the body, making it appear slimmer and narrow. Not only is the dress a v-neck, it also has a fold over detail at the bust, which helps to visually slim the bust area. Lastly, the dress is a bit shorter and I encourage you apple shapes to wear shorter dress and skirts, of course being tasteful, because you all gave killer legs, show them off! As for the shoes, I gave you two options. If you want to wear pink, as I did, then these studded ones by Steve Madden are perfect! They are chunky and a bit edgy, which I love. Plus, since they're chunky, they will help add some visual weight to your legs, essentially balancing out your upper portion. If you're not fond of those, then these black beaded ones by Sam Edelman are a perfect alternative! They're perfect for spring/summer and the detail will help draw attention to those legs!

Both the rectangular and hourglass shapes can wear much of the same pieces, since both shapes are pretty much symmetrical. The main difference between the two is the waistline. The rectangular shape doesn't have an as defined waistline as the hourglass shape does, which isn't a big deal, since one can be achieved through simple styling strategies. Since the jacket falls around the waistline, it will create a mid focal point for the rectangular shape (essentially creating that waistline), while re-emphasizing it for the hourglass shape. Lastly, I selected these Ivanka Trump sandals with multicolored straps in the front to tie in with the dress, while adding some different color. The base of the shoe is back, so it doesn't look too much. If you're uncomfortable wearing a bit more color, which I encourage you all to step outside your comfort zone, select a basic black sandal and it would also work.

I hope you enjoyed this post and use it as a guide in getting ready for tonight, you're gunna look fabulous dahling!

Happy Monday everyone!

It's finally been looking and feeling a lot more like spring around here, yay! Aside for a random summer day we had on Saturday, it was near 80! Hey, I ain't complaining, especially with the winter we experienced here in New York, bring on the warmer days! Anyway, it's been beautiful out with some chills, nothing a cute jacket can't help with. I've really been loving colored leather jackets this spring. I purchased two so far and if I come across another great deal, I will certainly be adding to my collection. Every woman should have a basic black leather jacket, it's certainly a wardrobe staple; but it's also great to mix in some fun and interesting seasonal pieces and this pastel blue faux leather is perfect for those chilly spring days. I've actually been wearing it a lot since I purchased it over a month ago and Eddie was shocked that I had yet to share it on the blog, well until now!

This overall pairing would look great on all the body shapes, with a minor tweak. I would pay attention to the style of jacket you're purchasing, which can of course effect the entire look. One thing my apple, inverted, and hourglass shaped ladies I know have experienced, is the bulge around the bust when the jacket is zipped up and there's a lot of pockets and a large collar around the bust, particularly if you are very busty and in any of those three body shape categories. This won't matter much if you don't tend to zip up your jackets, but rather leave them open for a more casual, laid back look. However, the larger collars and zipper details found on most motto styles can still cause the bust to appear larger, even when just resting on the bust, so you may just want to consider selecting a style that doesn't have as much detail, especially since the color is sure to be enough pop for your look ;)

I hope you enjoyed the post and come back soon! Thanks so much for stopping and please don't forget to stay beautiful, confident, and true to your beautiful self!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I hope you're all having a wonderful day so far. Today's look is a typical spring mixture of pastels. I love lavender and a soft shade of pink combination. I feel it's the epitome of spring and is quite feminine, so if your style is more feminine and flirty, this look would be perfect for you! Now, these pants are quite interesting in that they have some pleating in the center part and I've noticed by comparing the way it looks on me and on the model on the website, if you're legs are thinner, the pleats don't appear too defined, as they do if you have fuller legs like myself. If you're an apple or rectangular shape, I think this would look great on you! If you're a pear or hourglass, like myself, I honestly think it'll come down to your comfort level and how you style them. I decided to add a more voluminous top that featured some ruffles, which you've heard me mention many times in videos and blog posts that they can help add some dimension to your bust area, thus balancing out the hips, especially when wearing skinny pant legs. I personally love them! If you're not too crazy about them, there are other options, like the pants I included in the scroll bar above, in recreating the look.

I hope you all felt inspired by this post and decide to recreate it on yourselves! As always, don't forget to stay beautiful, confident, and true to your beautiful self!
