Hey Girlfriends,

I hope you all had an awesome weekend! To kick start this week with the right mood, I had to go for a bold color and print. I don't even think the camera truly picked up the vibrancy of this top, it's full on neon, baby! Just the way I like it, haha. I loved the idea of pairing such a bright colored tank with this intense print. When I remembered I had a pair of shoes that also had snakeskin and was a similar color as the top, I felt it would be the perfect match. Ya know, as much as I love snakeskin, I'm surprised to say that I don't have many pieces with the print. I do have a ton of leopard though, perhaps because it's such a timeless classic. What is your favorite print(s)?

Hi Beautiful,

Today's look is a fun one because it involves a combination of two styles, relaxed and glamourous. I personally love combining more than one style because I feel it makes the outfit more unique, interesting, and as I said before, FUN! Fashion is the clothing and style is what we DO with those clothes and I encourage you to have fun and experiment with your clothing. There are a few pieces I tend to gravitate more towards and those are bold colors, patterns, and sequins, basically eye-catching pieces. So when I first saw this blazer at the Tamar Braxton collection launch I attended a few months back, I knew I needed it in my life! It was the first sequins blazer I saw in this style; a tuxedo-like silhouette with sequins, which made it very unique to me. I decided to maintain the black tie feel of the blazer by wearing a white button down shirt, but disrupted the flow a bit by adding the distressed denim shorts, which give more of an edgy and relaxed feel.

Now, a woman with any body shape can certainly sport this look. The only thing I'd suggest you consider is if the jacket is double breasted or has lapels. Something so miniscule as this can make the bust appear a little larger, especially when buttons are fastened and if that's not the effect you'd like to achieve, I'd suggest you go for something that doesn't have those details.

What do you think of the look? Be sure to let me know in the comment's section and thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!

Happy Hump Day ladies,

As many of you know, especially if you follow me on Instagram, I love nature! I love to be surrounded by all sorts of flowers and plants, so I do tend to gravitate a lot towards floral prints. I didn't realize how many florals I had until recently and this skirt is by far my favorite because it features roses and has a very Dolce & Gabbana feel to it. The rose is often tied to romance and love and because of that, it would be perfect for a date night. I decided to pair it with this cut out body suit because it also has a bit of feminine touch and because it's black, it allows for the red roses to truly pop. As for the shoes, I decided to wear my summer favorite at the moment, these green iridescent pair. They helped to pull out the green stems on the skirt a bit more. To finish off the look, I decided to ditch the basic black clutch and wear this red hot piece that has a bit of spikes. I feel it accurately depicts nature, a rose among thorns.  It also tells the story of love that even though it can be beautiful to be in love, it can also be a little painful (not necessarily in a bad way). In a way that love challenges us to be less self-centered and more on the other person's needs and support their passions as much as ours, which in the beginning can be a bit painful to our nature.

As this look pertains to body shapes, I feel it would work for all shapes and heights. The reason is that the body suit is black, yet has enough detail to balance out the attention of the skirt, which is high waisted and can conceal a larger midsection. It can also emphasize or create attention to the waistline. Plus, it makes the legs appear longer.

I hope you loved the look and perhaps it gave you an idea on what to wear if you have a date lined up this weekend. If not the print, at least consider the color pairing, red and black are timeless and ultra feminine and chic ;)

Hey Girlies,

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! I spent it with my family in Brooklyn. We watched the legendary Macy's fireworks across the river in Williamsburg and spent much of yesterday at Coney Island. It was the first time in quite a few years that we decided not to spend it at Coney Island; we wanted to try something different. Plus, we were really disappointed with the show last year. If you're already thinking about coming to New York next year to watch the show, I suggest spending the day at Coney Island, so you can see the annual Nathan's hotdog eating contest and the evening in NYC or in Williamsburg to catch the Macy's show, the best in New York.

Anyway, for today's look, I wanted to wear these faux leather white leggings. I know you may be thinking, "leather leggings in summer, really?!" but these are ultra thin, so it works. Of course white goes with any color, but I loved how summery and refreshing it looked with this yellow blouse; it reminded me of lemonade for some reason, haha! Plus, since I'm fuller on the bottom portion of my body, the pop of color on top helps to balance that out, a tip I would suggest if you have a similar shape. Oh and how awesome are these heels?! I fell in love with the denim texture and paint splatter print, but as a heads-up, they're not all that comfy and run a 1/2 size small (I ordered a 1/2 size up). I plan on purchasing some insoles to help with the comfort because I HAVE TO wear these babies more often, such a statement!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll catch you tomorrow with a new post!

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and are off to a great start to your week. Today's look is one that's perfect for a summer event, such as a brunch or baby shower. It features a rose and gold combination that I feel is perfect for summer. The tunic is actually a dress, but it would be way too short on it's own, which is why I decided to pair it with these light and breathable leggings. Since the top and leggings have detail and shimmer, I wanted to through in a matte solid, which is why I selected these sandals.

I also wanted to note that since the front and back of the tunic are low and have a bunch of cut outs and details, I used nipple covers because wearing a bra with this was out of the question. A few months ago, Bye Bra reached out to me to review their covers and since I knew I would definitely be needing/wearing them at some point during the summer, I decided to try them out. The one's I'm wearing are their free silicone nipple covers and they're quite comfortable and I would suggest you give them a try. They have a sticky substance on the inner part of the cover, which holds firmly to the breast and it also comes with a breast lift tape for additional support (you can read more on them here).

What do you think of the look? Share your thoughts in the comments' section and thanks so much for stopping by :)
