Happy Monday, Ladies!
I trust that you all are having a wonderful start to your work week! As you all know, we finally entered spring at the end of last week, although it's been flirting with us a bit here in NY. Saturday was so beautiful out, in which I spent most of the day out and about, but yesterday and today are a bit chilly, so we're still slowly transitioning. During these next few weeks, as we experience some highs and lows of what spring has to offer, I love wearing cardigans and chunky scarves. Not only do they keep me warm and cozy enough to ditch the jacket, but they're super fun to mix and match with to create cute spring looks.
I found this scarf at Marshall's and when I spotted it across the aisle, I immediately dashed through with my cart hoping that no one would ruin my sweet serendipity by snagging it up before I got to it, since it was of course the last one, the story of my life! I love "different" scarves.Ones that have unique patterns and color combinations. I believe I did mention in one of my earlier videos how picky I can be with these sort of things because I believe that scarves are quite similar to statement necklaces, so they should make a statement, right?!They can truly enhance an outfit and you don't have to worry about wearing a necklace, if you don't have one that matches your outfit. Plus, they're a great way to add some dimension to your upper body all you pear and rectangular shapes. That being said, I wouldn't necessarily suggest chunky scarves to all my apple and inverted triangle ladies, since they can make your bust appear even larger. However, if it's a must or you found one that you really like, you can wear it, but make sure you're wearing bottoms that will add some visual weight to your lower body, as well as shoes that have a fuller and chunkier heel, to balance you out visually.
I purchased these printed jeans at The Limited at the end of last summer and I believe they were marked down to only $10 bucks! I always try to get some pieces during the end of a season, since that's when they're the cheapest, since stores are practically giving them away to make room for the new stuff in for the next season. You'll also find some timeless pieces and prints in these sections (clearance) as well, so if you're in need of a new LBD (little black dress) or classic white button-up, you may score a really good deal if you search the racks at a nice quality store.
