Good morning beauties!

Last night's date night was so much fun! Well, let me tell you how it started. My husband sent me a text message around noon saying that we might be going to a Knick's game for date night and I was like, "what?" We originally had plans to go to a restaurant at City Island in the Bronx. So this was all last minute. About a half and hour after he sent me the text saying that we might be going, he sent another one saying that we were definitely going and to get ready for tonight! I was astounded! This would be my second time going to the garden to see my favorite basketball team play! So, as you would assume, the first thing I thought to myself was, "what am I going to wear?" I instantly had an image of what I wanted to wear in my head, but I didn't have all the pieces for the outfit. I went out immediately on the hunt to put this outfit together as soon as possible, so that I could be ready in time, and I did! I found all the pieces to my outfit in time and the look came together exactly as I envisioned it, don't you love when that happens?! The first time I went to the garden for a game, I thought I was going out to like a fancy restaurant. I put on the leggings the high heel boots, the whole nine. Boy was that a mistake because I had blisters on my feet and couldn't walk good for a good few days. Lesson learned, you can look fab at a game, just not in six inch heels, Jalisa! Thank God that sneaker wedges are in style and I scored the ones that I wore last night for $23 with the original price being $50! When I envisioned the look, I wanted a pair of black sneaker wedges to complete the look, the only problem was that I didn't have a pair! I stumbled across these in the clearance section at the Burlington Coat Factory. They weren't in a box and were dirty along the white edges, so I knew I had some wiggle room to negotiate. Being a New Yorker, a true New Yorker, your born knowing how to negotiate and talking people into getting what you want! HAHA. So, if you're ever at a store like Marshall's, TjMaxx, or the Burlington Coat Factory and you see something that's a little dirty or out of place on the item you want, don't be afraid to negotiate!

Now on to the game. The Knicks played the Milwaukee Bucks. We started out looking good. Then I don't know what happened. Actually I do, we were getting lazy, not playing defense or offense at all! The Bucks were scoring shots that we had every opportunity to stop or prevent. But my favorite player, Tyson Chandler, did his thing and came through as we all expected, many times, as the best defensive player on the team! Carmelo Anthony, J.R. Smith, and Steve Novak played extremely well! All in all, we won! Which meant a lot to me. The last time I went to the game, we lost and the environment in the air was so depressing. This time around, everyone was rejoicing! I mean who doesn't want their home team to win?! Well, we did it....GO KNICKS!!!!
