Happy Thursday!

I hope you're all having an awesome start to your day so far! You know how much I love trying new color combinations and this lavender and olive duo is a match made in heaven. I absolutely love the way these two colors compliment each other; they're perfect to wear all throughout spring into autumn and depending on the pieces of course, winter! I know you guys probably don't even want to have a discussion about winter, haha; I don't blame you! I thought to create this pairing when I created my olive x aqua look (found here). I was trying to think outside the box when it came to the olive and so many different colors started coming to mind an lavender was one of them.

I hope you feel inspired by this combo and think to give it a try on yourselves because it's one that I feel would look great on most skin-tones :)

Have an awesome rest of your day, beautiful! Thanks for stopping by :)

Happy Hump Day beauties,

After flipping through my magazine collection, I've noticed a reoccurring theme that I love for fall, chunky oversized sweaters paired with fitted skirts. Even though we are still in summer, fall is literally right around the corner, so what better time to prepare our closets then now?! I'm swooning over this combo and I know you will too because on those autumn days when you really don't know what to wear, this can certainly become a go-to option. It's easy and and reads minimalistic cool. Above is a look I created which will give you an idea on how you can style this trend; I hope you find it inspirational!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have an amazing day!

Happy Tuesday!

One popular trend that I've been loving is the buttoned skirt. I think it adds more detail and interest to an otherwise simple skirt, making it much more unique. I happened to score this white one by Theory at a local thrift store. I was beyond excited when I spotted it and the price point was perfect. It's true what they say, you can certainly find some hidden treasures at thrift stores, you just have to have the patience to dig!

When it comes to body shapes, I think this trend would work well for every shape. For the apple and inverted triangle, it adds some interest to the bottom portion of the legs, helping to enhance your natural slender and defined legs. For the hourglass and pear, although these two shapes are quite curvy on the bottom, depending on the style, it can truly enhance those natural curves; a higher waist is best. Lastly, for the rectangular this style helps to create a nice focal point and if it's a high waisted style, it'll help to re-establish the waist area.

I hope you all found this post helpful in getting ready this Tuesday morning! I wish you all an awesome and productive day :)

Happy Monday beautiful!

I've been a member of Influenster for about two years now and have loved the experience thus far. I've had the ability to learn about great products that I might not have tried had I not received them to review. When I received the test to determine if I'd be a match to review the Yves Saint Laurent Vox Box, which included two products-the 'Touche Eclat Blur Primer and 'Touche Eclat' Blur Perfector, I was extremely excited because I've never tried any of the YSL beauty products before. I've always wanted to, I mean who wouldn't?! They look so luxurious with the gold accents that any woman, including myself, would feel like royalty using them! However, they are really pricy and I struggle with purchasing an expensive product that I'm not familiar with and if you're like me, hopefully this review will be helpful to you if you've been eyeing these products specifically. I've been using both products nearly every day since the day I received them in the mail about two weeks ago and here are my honest thoughts on each:

'TOUCHE ECLAT BLUR PRIMER' - This product claims to blur imperfections, minimize pores, smooth and even out skin texture, and enhance the radiance of foundation. Did it do all of the above for my skin? No. It did minimize my pores and left my skin feeling ultra soft with subtle hints of gold specs, which I loved, especially since it's summer, so it gives a sun-kissed look in the sun, however, that does go away after the foundation is on. At least it did for me-I used the Tarte Amazonian foundation, which is full coverage, so that could be why it vanished. I didn't notice that it did anything with my skin's natural redness around the nostrils or acne blemishes; I still had to use concealer to help with those areas and my skin still looked bumpy where I had acne once applied. Would I suggest you use it? That would all depend on your skin type and makeup routine/goals. I do have sensitive skin (eczema and acne prone skin) and I didn't experience an allergic reaction, so if that's a concern for you, I wouldn't be concerned. If you're looking for a primer that will create a smooth and even surface for your foundation, I wouldn't suggest it if you have acne, it didn't help with the texture of those flareups, as mentioned. However, if you don't have acne prone or irritated (red/patchy) skin, I'd say try it, you might like it, since it does create a nice consistent smooth finish and serve as a great base for your foundation.

'TOUCHE ECLAT BLUR PERFECTOR' - A balm in texture and appearance which changes to a powder formula once applied to the skin. It claims to blur imperfections, minimize pores, smooth and even out skin texture to create a more uniformed appearance with a slight rosy-gold effect. Did it do all of this to my skin? Yes. I used it as a finishing powder under my eye area to set my concealer and for my t-zone for the shine, but it could be used alone without any foundation. When using this product, I noticed that I didn't have to touch up my forehead (which is always shiny that you can fry an egg on it most days, haha) as often as I typically would. Since it provided a nice matte finish, my pores weren't as visible, which are pretty large above my cheekbones/under-eye area. It did leave a rosy finish, which helped enhance the concealer I used under the eye (and prevented it from creasing), forehead and chin, which I liked. My only complaint is that I would've wished that there would've been a compartment within the compact for the sponge applicator it comes with so I wouldn't need to carry a separate brush in my makeup bag to touch up, but that's minor. So would I suggest you give this product a try? Yes. I does what it claims to do and the packaging is gorgeous!

I hope you enjoyed this review and found it helpful, especially if you were considering purchasing these specific products. Have you used any Yves Saint Laurent beauty products before? If so, what are you favorites and why? I'd love to know. I have my eye on one of their legendary lipsticks, that packaging is life!

Disclaimer: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions mentioned are my own.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your day is beautiful as you!

Hello Gorgeous Ladies!

It's finally the weekend and there's no better day than Friday, especially during the summer, wouldn't you agree?! My favorite color is pink and my second is red, it once was the other way around. As much as I love red, surprisingly, I don't have too many pieces with this bold vibrant color in my closet. When I saw this jumpsuit about a year ago at Marshalls, I knew I had to get it; I fell in love with the back! This would be a perfect option for a summer date night. The color is synonymous with love and jumpsuits can give a dressier vibe than let's say a maxi dress. I decided to pair it with gold accents because I love wearing red and gold and it's the metal I reach for the most during summer because it looks great with a tan, as does rose gold!

If you're not familiar with my YouTube videos, I did a video in which I explained how to select jumpsuits and maxi dresses for your body shape, which you can watch here. This jumpsuit was featured, but styled in a much more casual way. Speaking of casual, do you remember when I styled this look last 4th of July weekend (see post here)?! I simply love this jumpsuit because of it's versatility and I'm challenging myself to come up with more looks to wear and share, so keep an eye out!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous and stylish weekend ;)
