Hey Beauties!
Since we are in summer, it can certainly get hot while working, especially if you're one who's always outside throughout the day. A great way to keep cool and look fashionably appropriate at work would be to opt for a short suit. Of course you want to select a pair of shorts that's appropriate for your work setting (and your body shape, too!). It's a fun and not so traditional suit option that looks great.
This look in particular would be great for a few body shapes, such as the pear, rectangular, and hourglass. The reason is because since the blazer falls around the hip bone and has pockets that are placed right at the waistline, it brings the focus upward, specifically at the waist. It's also double breasted, creating some additional volume to the bust area.
The shorts I selected have a more structured silhouette, so it doesn't cling to the hip area, although I don't think these photos demonstrate that too well (it's one of those pieces that you have to see worn in person).
The fact that I'm wearing printed shorts and a solid tee and blazer is okay because of the cut and style of the blazer. If we decide to wear prints and patterns on the fullest areas of our bodies, we have to make sure that the opposite end is balanced out visually by wearing figure flattering silhouettes or textures on that end. So for the apple shape, I'd suggest a longer blazer, since it's not ideal to select one that falls at the hip bone, since it can bring negative attention to a larger midsection.
