Hello all my hard working ladies!

This week I wanted to discuss a rather popular trend in office wear, the short suit! Now, of course, the ability to wear dressy shorts to the office will depend on your work environment and the nature of your work, as well as your job location. As many of you know who follow me on my other social media sources, I was away in Florida for a few days over the Memorial Day weekend, which I hope all of you enjoyed, while keeping those who sacrificed and are still sacrificing their lives for our freedom. While there, I was thinking about the different work attire that can be worn in a more casual setting. If your job permits you to wear dressy shorts, here are some different ideas you can use in styling them, while still looking appropriate in the office.

HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT RULES TO CONSIDER:

1. Make sure the shorts will not expose your rear end if you bend over and are walking

2. Don't over-do the pattern mixing

3. Don't wear too much jewelry (the look will appear overbearing for the office)

LOOK #1:

Try wearing a pair of shorts with a belted vest for a suit feel in those hot or warm environments, where wearing a suit jacket may be a bit too hot and uncomfortable.

BODY SHAPE: Pear and boy/rectangular

FRAME: Tall and petite

 LOOK #2:

A casual suit look in a neutral color allows for you to wear a bit more accessories in bolder colors, since you'll have such a warm neutral palette.

BODY SHAPE: ALL

BODY FRAME: Tall and petite (go for a more cropped jacket, so that you don't appear to be swallowed by the long jacket!)

LOOK #3:

A printed short with tons of color paired with a natural sheer or chiffon top to balance things out, will give off a more professional vibe.

BODY SHAPE: Apple and boy/rectangular

BODY FRAME: Tall and petite
