Hello Ladies!

This week's look is a bit fun and interesting, since I have a patterned bottom and pop of color in the blazer. The skirt is pretty easy to work with because it has the two most versatile color combinations, black and white. I personally love to work with red when I have a black and white piece, you've seen me do so with the classic houndstooth. Red is such a vibrant and spicy color that enhances and causes a look to stand out. As we begin to transition into spring and summer, I definitely suggest you to keep an eye out for red blazers. They can be worn with so many colors and patterns, such as: beige, white, grey, black, navy, houndstooth, cheetah, and leopard prints. Plus, I think it's a great color for the warmer months and looks stellar with a nice tan ;)

As you can see, I chose to belt the blazer with a thin pattern leather belt, of course you'd be able to use other patterns and colors, such as leopard, cheetah, or the beloved houndstooth to fulfill your love for print. If you're more into wearing solids in the office, you can choose black or navy. When pairing a belt on top of a blazer, I'd suggest going for a skinnier smaller belt as opposed to a medium or large thicker one, if the blazer isn't long. If you're working with a longer blazer, when you belt it with a thicker belt, it'll create a peplum effect, with the flare out at the bottom. I personally am not fond of that sort of look for the office (using a thicker belt over a blazer), so I'd suggest sticking with the small and skinny. Generally speaking, every body shape looks great when waist belts are worn. They have the tendency to create an equal balance in curves, visually, so don't hesitate to buy a few when seen on sale or at a great price and wear them as often as possible with your work wear!
