Hey Guys,
This week's W3 post is a recap from this past Sunday's Easter look. I feel it's a look that's appropriate for any day at the office during the spring months, since it's very light and neutral, for the most part. I purchased this really pretty floral button-up from New York & Company on Saturday, during their 50% of everything sale. This blouse ended up being 70% off, which is a huge score, since it's so beautiful and can be worn with skirts, pants, and jeans (for a more casual feel), so I know I'll get a lot of use out of it!
Since it has various shades of pink, I wanted to bring out one of the brighter shades, so I paired it with a bright pink shoe, which happens to be one of my favorite spring/summer shoes. For the bottom, I wore a khaki colored pencil skirt, which came with a yellow belt that I decided to keep on because I felt it worked well with with the pink and white mixture and added some more spring feel to the look.
As you can see, the shirt has pockets on the bust, which I always suggest for you pear and rectangular shapes because it helps to add some dimension to the bust area. To add some overall volume to the upper portion of my body, I tucked the shirt in. I highly suggest doing this if you're rectangular shaped because when you wear pencil skirts, especially, your waistline can sometimes get lost, by tucking in the top, you're adding an emphasis to your waistline, essentially re-defining it.
I can totally envision more outfits using this blouse, so keep a look out for a more casual look :)
