Hello Ladies!

For this week's W3 post, I put together a more casual outfit, for those of you who work in a more a casual or creative setting. I understand that not everyone works in a traditional work environment, which is why I like to mix things up a bit here on the blog for the W3 posts; that way I can inspire all of you when getting ready for work!

As you can tell, I've been in sort of a "blue mood" lately, haha. Not the down and out sort of "blue mood", more of feeling an immense inspiration from the color blue. This look, as was the outfit from yesterday, is monochrome. However, the difference between this look and yesterday's, is that the top and bottom are the same shade of blue, whereas yesterday's look had different shades of blue, with silver jewelry to blend it all together, since silver flatters blue tones best. Although, gold works well, too, as you see I'm wearing today.

What inspired me to pair these soft blues with subtle touches of orange was this Dooney & Bourke purse. I had been eyeing this purse at Marshall's for a few weeks and this past weekend, it went on clearance! The original price is $298 and I paid $150, basically 1/2 price. To be honest, I've never really been a fan of Dooney & Bourke, but lately, the Marshall's I go to, has been selling a lot of their cute purses. I also picked up another purse, a tote, perfect for rainy days which was also on clearance; you'll definitely see it on the blog in the future. But as you can imagine, I wanted to wear it right away and just like the red Kate Spade purse I also purchased from Marshall's, which was featured in yesterday's post, I started thinking of various ways to wear it, which was fun, since I never had an orange purse before and this is a true shade of orange...ah, I LOVE IT!

When I decided to wear the purse with an all blue look, I began thinking of ways to enhance the orange, so the outfit wouldn't look a bit flat, since I was working with so much light blue. I immediately thought of the statement necklace I purchased from New York & Company, which was during their $10 sale on all jewelry event. Then I added my statement peach BCBgeneration bracelet and monogram J bracelet to keep my arms subtle and free from too many bracelets, just enough.

I did want to mention that this flowy top has quite a few cut-outs and bows on the back, which may or may not be appropriate for your work environment. Nonetheless, just keep the color pairing in mind when creating your look, either dressed up or down, you now have an example of how light blue and orange look together and hopefully, it has inspired you to recreate the combo on yourself!

To add the finishing touch to the feet, I opted for my Tory Burch cheetah printed flats. You can certainly add the cheetah or leopard print to your outfit pairing in either a belt, scarf, or purse. Remember, this is all about inspiration! You may not have an orange purse, but have a cheetah printed one. You can wear a blue top and bottom, orange lip, and the purse and there you have it, you've got a similar look! Mix and match your pieces according to what you have, but rest assured, you'll look fabulous darling ;)
