Hello all my gorgeous readers!

I was so very excited about this outfit because I immediately thought of a theme, a story to be told without me speaking, my thoughts expressed in my outfit. As you fashionistas know, the art of fashion goes much deeper than a nice pairing or trendy piece, it's a story, a way of expressing yourself. This outfit expresses my thoughts on life, which I often share with you via Facebook and Twitter. The shirt says, "Love Someone", which I got in a gift bag, when I went to the Red Light PR event a few months ago. I wanted to pair the top with a leather pencil skirt, not only because leather skirts have been a new spring wardrobe staple, but because leather also symbolizes toughness. When paired with the shirt, it tells a story of tough love. Now, I truly believe that we should demonstrate love to everyone we come in contact with. Hold on, before you start saying that you only love people you know and who love you in return, hear me out. In this case, I mean demonstrating acts of kindness, even in tough situations and with people who may be tough to get along with. This morning, I left a comment on my Facebook page, "love your enemies because they help you build character." I believe our society lacks so much character because we tend to only treat those who accept us with love and kindness, which is extremely easy to do and you don't grow or mature in your character by doing this. The way to build character, is to go through some tough things and deal with tough or difficult people. When we choose to be bitter and only like or accept our select group of people, it ages us quickly because however we feel in the inside, will always effect the way we look on the outside. For example, you can usually tell when someone is depressed or going through a rough time because it shows on his or her countenance, as well as how he or she dresses. So, I challenge you, along with myself, to show acts of love and kindness in tough situations AND with tough people.
