Hello Lovelies!
I hope you all had a wonderful day today! The weather has been a bit inconsistent here in NY, making it very difficult to commit to one outfit. Can you believe I had to change my outfit three times today because it started off very chilly and then got into the low 80s! But, that wasn't going to stop me from embracing the gradual change from summer to fall, even though the official start to fall is on Sunday. Fall is one of my favorite seasons because I feel it has the perfect weather, food, and of course, fashion! One of my favorite makeup trends for the season are bold lips and nails. I love sporting a bold lip and eyeliners because I feel they're effortless and don't require that much know how and time. So, if you aren't gifted in the makeup area, I'd suggest playing around with different color lip colors and eyeliners, they can dramatically change and add to your look!
Now, do you guys remember my video on how to visually minimize your hips (you can watch it HERE)?! In that video, one of my style tips was to wear waterfall cardigans. Most of them tend to provide some dimension to the upper body, while skimming the surface of your hips, making them appear less wide. The one that I wore today is shorter on the sides and longer in the front. This works for for those of you who are a pear or hourglass, but don't have that large of a hip area. When paired with heels, it actually gives the appearance of a really long a lean leg, so I suggest you give it a try!
I chose to pair the look with my new cobalt satchel, which I recently purchased from TJMAXX, because the jeans had a cobalt-ish hue to them that tied the overall look together.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I look forward to chatting with you all in my next blog post!
