Hello my loves!
I'm very excited to share my experience from the KAS New York fall/winter 2014 preview with all of you! The collection was absolutely beautiful and I loved the geometric and angular shapes used as a theme throughout, as well as the beautiful jewel tones and sequins. What I loved most about the collection was that was practical for everyday wear and/or for those common special occasions. So while they were still fashion forward, it had a healthy dose of practicality at the same time, which I greatly appreciate as a style blogger and stylist, which is also the driving force and motivation behind KAS. Designer Kirat Anad (seen with me below), draws his inspiration from art, travel, culture, nature, and historical designers and blends each into unique pieces that could be easily mixed and matched to suit a city girl's lifestyle...on the go...and FAST! You can check out the website and few the available pieces HERE.
Here are my favorite pieces from the collection. It was hard to narrow it down, but I used my personal style and what I envisioned myself wearing when selecting them ;)
As for my outfit, I wanted to go for a chic and polished look, which is why I opted for a classic black and white pairing, as well as the houndstooth printed pants. Now, the pants are quite busy, since they are printed, so to create some interest to my upper body, I wore a black and white layered necklace and a bold reddish/orangish lipstick, to add a pop of color. Since we had just finished having a snow storm, again, I wore my very familiar Nine West booties to complete the look. Remember, I always suggest that if you're a pear shape, like myself, and enjoy playing around with printed bottoms, you can do so, ONLY IF you pair them with a scarf, necklace, or detailed top/blouse to counteract the eye ;)
