Hey Girlies!

I trust that you all had a wonderful 4th of July, spent with your friends and family. I had a wonderful weekend spent with mine and I didn't post anything here on the blog since Thursday because I just wanted to soak up each moment with them, which I very rarely do. But now that I feel well rested, I'm back with more posts set for the week :)

On Saturday, my mom and I went to a nearby outdoor mall that she hadn't yet been to; she wanted to stop by some stores that I've been raving about. Of course she influenced me to pick up a few things for myself, one of which were these awesome hippie-like sunnies from a boutique named Francesca's. I've purchased a top from there about a year ago and have been a fan of their pieces ever since. What I like about boutiques is that you can find some really cool and interesting pieces that are truly one of a kind. I'm not one to sport sunnies like these, but I just had to! They're super cute and different and great for helping me change up my looks a bit.

I felt that the jumper went well with the glasses, since they had a nice hippie-like flare to them at the bottom. Instead of pairing them with heels, which I plan to do next time, I wore them with these Coach boat shoes I scored last week from Marshall's on clearance. I felt it just simply worked and added some necessary comfort for walking around and enjoying a bbq on a rather warm day.

What I love about jumpers and rompers is that you can easily dress them up or down, making them a summer staple; they provide that effortless feel that a maxi dress does, perfect for days when it's just too hot to think about an entire ensemble and you want to just get dressed and go!

So what did you guys do this holiday weekend?! Feel free to share in the comment's section, I'd love to know!
