Hello Fashionistas!

The weather has been extremely bipolar lately. Remember I told you that we had a snow storm here on Thursday night into Friday morning of last week? Well, a lot of weird environmental changes have taken place since then. On Sunday morning we woke up to find our entire street and side walks covered in a sheet of ice, because it was so cold. We literally couldn't walk without sliding all over and the rain boots that I'm wearing here were actually helpful in us getting to our car, because I wasn't sliding as much as my husband, who was wearing his snow boots. Then yesterday, the temperature went up and it felt almost like a spring day, so of course the snow began to melt. Now today, as I'm writing this post, it's 7°degrees! Not to mention that I've been hearing from some of you and friends in some parts of Florida who are experiencing 20-30°degree weather, which is extremely odd.

Now, moving on to my outfit. These leggings are so very comfortable, the most comfortable leggings that I've actually ever worn! They feel like part of your skin and stretch and move with your body so easily. Not to mention that the color and pattern combination screams winter and I had so much fun creating this look for a day out in and around the snow. I love wearing bright and vibrant colors on snowy and rainy days. Those days tend to exude depression and sadness and I feel that a nice bold outfit helps combat those negative mood changes. I also like how they appear against clean white snow, so beautiful and radiant.

I would definitely suggest this look or a look similar to this one for all my apple and inverted triangle shapes, especially. The bold printed and colored leggings help bring the attention downwards, not to mention that these leggings in particular are high waisted, so they can help conceal a tummy bulge. Speaking of rises, I decided that I am going to record a video on the different rises for the body shapes, most likely for next week's video, instead of waiting to purchase a mannequin. I am extremely picky with most things and I haven't found one that I want to commit to. I know it sounds funny to say I'd commit to a mannequin, but if I'm going to use it in videos and on the blog, I want to make sure that it's one that I really really like. Anyway, moving right along, the ideal way to style a pair of leggings like these for all you pear and hourglass shapes, would be to wear a cowl neck sweater or one that falls evenly all the way around the brim (bottom) of the sweater. As for you rectangular shapes, you could wear either a high-low sweater or cowl neck, since both would add some shape to your body, it would just depend on where you'd like to create the emphasis. If you'd like to create volume to your bust area, then go for a cowl neck, if you'd like to create volume to your hips, then go for the high-low.
