Hello Beauties!

This week, Eddie and I decided to take advantage of Hudson Valley's Restaurant Week and visit one of our favorite contemporary Portuguese restaurants. Each year, they have such an amazing menu and this year held up to our past experiences. I, of course had fish, and Eddie had the Portuguese fried chicken, which was absolutely delish. We share our entrées all the time and most of the time, I end up regretting not getting his, lol!

Anyway, I decided to wear this black and white dress that I bought during my birthday shopping. I felt it was the perfect time to wear it. I chose to pair it with my red clutch for a pop of color. I wanted to point out how long my legs look. I've always mentioned that if you want to give the impression of longer legs, to go for a monochromatic look. In this case, since I was working with a dress, I chose to match my tights and heels to the skirt, which as you can see is black. So not only do my legs look longer, they also look leaner, as a result of the choice of color. A dress like this would work great for any body shape, especially the pear and apple. The reason is it provides interest up top, which is what's needed for the pear, because of the print. The skirt of the dress is an a-line cut, so it doesn't flare out too much, causing the hips to appear narrow. For the apple, it's an empire style dress with an elastic waistband, which conceals the larger stomach and creates the illusion of a smaller and defined waistline! I don't, however, suggest empire styled waists for those of you who have really long legs and short torsos, since it'll only cause your torso to look that much shorter and your legs that much longer!
