Hi Beauties!
As many of you know, Eddie's birthday was last week, however, he wanted to celebrate it at a highly rated steakhouse, Peter Luger's and we weren't able to get a reservation on his actual birthday weekend. This place has been rated New York's best steakhouse for 28 years in a row and has received countless awards and recognition. We've heard so many great things from friends and family, so we decided that this was the perfect occasion to dine there. The beginning of our night started off a little rocky because we had made reservations a month in advance and when we called to let them know we were running a few minutes late because we were stuck in traffic, the hostess told us that we were not on the reservation list!!! When we finally arrived we spoke to the gentleman in charge of seating everyone (they have a few), he assured us that our names were not on the list, but that he would try to work us in. So guess what? We waited for over an hour to be seated and eat and we both had little to eat, since we were expecting to be eating at our reserved time. But, when we finally were able to eat, the food was extremely delicious! The steak literally melts in your mouth and topped with their legendary home made steak sauce, it was out of this world! Why? They hand pick their meat and age it in a special box, which will help enhance the flavor of the meat.
Many of the people we spoke to about this restaurant before last night, told us that the entire staff are arrogant and that is contrary to what we experienced. Our waiter was extremely hospitable and made us laugh here and there. Perhaps they learned of the reputation they were having around the area, based on their behavior and didn't want it to jeopardize their ratings.

As for my outfit, I felt it was the perfect occasion to break out my little black laced dress that I purchased from Express a few months ago, when I bought the yellow and orange neon versions. I decided to pair it with a leopard print "minus the fur" jacket, also from Express, to add a chic feel. I didn't want to add any more pops of color or interest other than my red lips and printed jacket because for this event and location, less is more!
Here is how you would wear a look like this with your little black dress for your body shape:
PEAR: I suggest styling your look the way you see that I've styled it here, since I too am a pear shape and adding the leopard printed jacket and red lips causes the eye to focus upward as opposed to your fuller bottom!
APPLE: Try going for a printed shoe to cause the eye to focus downward as well. If you like the leopard print touch I added to my look, if you have leopard print pumps, you'd still achieve the same vibe. Try adding some hints of red in your accessories and lips for color!
RECTANGULAR: Since we're working with a black dress, it's easy for your waistline to kind of get lost in the natural lining that the dress provides. To further enhance this, I suggest adding a leopard print thin belt along the waist area to cinch you in and create a focal point. You can add a red shoe and lips for some color!
HOURGLASS: I would suggest you create those 3 points of interest that I've mentioned in previous posts to ensure that your figure maintains its balance and you're not focusing in on one area more than the other, which you don't need to do. So, go for a red lip, gold necklace and leopard printed jacket, as I did, cinch your waist with a red belt (leopard would be too much with the jacket), as I suggested for the rectangular, and add more pop of color with some red shoes.
