Hey Guys!

Yesterday was a very busy day, so I wanted to look both cute and comfy, which is why I decided to wear these extremely comfortable floral leggings and one of my favorite sweaters, which you guys have seen quite a bit here on the blog and on YouTube. I felt that the grey sweater tied in well with the grayish undertones found within the leggings, which is another reason why I chose it. To dress up the look a bit, I just simply added black suede heels and my favorite purse of all time by Michael Kors. I try to keep things real with you guys, so I'm not going to even pretend that I wore the NYPD hat to be cute. I actually wore it because my hair was acting up on me, since I needed to get it done, which I was able to do today, thankfully! So instead of walking outside with a cute outfit and with my head looking like a hot mess, I covered it up with my husband's NYPD hat, which I think ended up looking cute with the outfit.

Now you've heard me mention time and time again how printed bottoms are great for the apple shape and because of that, I get a lot of pear shapes writing in to me asking if they would still be able to wear printed bottoms too. The answer is YES...but, you have to be strategic when creating your look, to prevent the main focus being place solely on the hips and thighs. The way to do that is to pair them with an oversized sweater, which you could choose to belt to further enhance your waistline, or with a statement necklace and bold lip, to cause the eye to gravitate upwards. When it comes to shoes, there are certain types that could help visually slim and lengthen the leg area, such as the pointed toe heels that I'm wearing here. If you're not one who likes to wear heels, you could still wear pointed or almond toe flats and they'll create the same effect. I don't really suggest these types for you apple shapes, since your legs are thinner than the rest of your body anyway, shoes like the ones mentioned, will only cause your legs to appear even thinner and your upper body fuller.

What is your go-to hair solution when your hair is acting up? Do you opt for hats, like I did, or do you have a hair style that you wear on those days?
