Hey Guys!

Today's post is so much fun because it has to do with makeup and some yummy products, literally! Last week, I was sent a BOXYCHARM box for the first time and was unfamiliar with the company prior to receiving the box. It's a monthly subscription service for all you beauty fanatics! I know, I know there's a monthly subscription for everything nowadays, but...if you're really into makeup and beauty products this may be something you'd be interested in. As a first impression, I really like that full sized beauty products were included and it's mentioned on their website that only full sized beauty (luxury) products are packed in! If you think about, $21 a month for full sized luxury or higher end makeup brands isn't bad at all, especially if you find yourself a Sephora or ULTA each month shopping for makeup. On the BOXYCHARM website, they have a section entitled 'the shop' where they provide the products they've included in some of the boxes and if you look at the pricing, some of the products alone are over $21, so you really are getting a good deal. One thing I think is important I mention is that if you decide to sign up, $21 will be automatically deducted from your card, so it's a recurring membership (sign up here). Another thing that was appealing to me is that it's a great opportunity for someone who may not be able to afford higher end makeup to give some a try and build a collection with good quality makeup and beauty products and not have to pay full price for those items.

Practically all of the products I received smelt like chocolate or dessert, which I loved since I'm a HUGE fan of sweets! The only product that I'm not able to wear is the blush by Be A Bombshell Cosmetics, since it contains mineral oil, which is not good for your skin, especially if you have acne prone skin like me, in that case, I wouldn't suggest you try it either.

Take a look at all of the products I received in the box with individual photos and descriptions/reviews of each:

Welcome cards, one was a greeting, the other explains some of the Too Faced products included in the box

Calendar cards that have risqué quotes to tie in with the Too Faced Mascara, Better Than Sex ( I know, I know...)

My favorite product featured was the Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection Palette. Each of the 16 eye shadows are infused with rich antioxidant cocoa powder, which is great for the eye area, since antioxidants are said to be great for combating wrinkles! Each are highly pigmented; I've included swatches with and without flash. Each are also named with a chocolate theme, which I thought was pretty cute. The palette also comes with a pamphlet that features 3 different eye looks, so if you're not gifted in creating eye shadow combos, no worries ;)

I've been wearing these shadows every chance I've gotten and I really love the pigmentation on the lids and they do last long. When my mom came over for Mother's Day weekend and saw the palette, I suggested it to her, as she swatched  she saw it at Sephora and wasn't sure to get it. If, however, you don't like chocolate (or the smell) OR are allergic, I wouldn't suggest it, since it is infused and smells like pure cocoa.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara smells like chocolate, too! One of the cards that came in the box (seen below) explained that in a consumer study, 100% of the consumers reported seeing longer lashes and volume and 93% saw a base-to-tip curl (a curl that would have otherwise been provided using an eye lash curler) and 8 out of 10 said it was the best mascara they've ever used.

Now, for my opinion. I would have to agree that I did see a HUGE difference in the length and volume it provided and I didn't use a curler, so I could imagine it giving me results similar to that of false lashes, if I do use one with it. I believe this has a lot to do with the shape of the wand. If you look at the set of photos below, the one the right, you'll notice how the want has a twisted shape, this plays a huge part in providing the lengthening effect and curl. I also liked the consistency, it's very thick and you can hear it each time you dip your wand in the tube, which I believe gives the volume. The only thing I did NOT like was that it runs very easily; within an hour of wearing it, I had to touch up my under eye concealer because I had black streaks all over the bottom of my eyes, since I also applied the mascara to my bottom lashes. I'm assuming this is because it's not waterproof. If Too Faced can change the formula slightly to be waterproof, I really do believe it would be the best mascara I've ever used!

Since I mentioned false lashes, I think now would be a good time to show you how adorable the packaging is for the Eyelashi Flirty false lashes. I love how it comes in a box that enables you to slide the lashes in and out for great storage, plus when you slide it out to take the lashes out, it has a quote, " Be Glamorous  Be Gorgeous, Be You." How cute is that?! I haven't used them yet, to be honest, I'm not one to care for false lashes, but there are times when I want to put them on and I don't have any on hand, so I'm excited about giving these a try!

Here's the blush I'm not able to try. I think it's a really pretty color, perfect for spring and summer, and would look great on all you warmer toned beauties. Again, I wouldn't suggest this product if you have acne prone skin, since it contains mineral oil. I honestly wouldn't suggest any of you to use it because mineral oil is really not a good ingredient to place on the skin, regardless, but the color is beautiful!

Lastly, here's the yummy coconut scented Model Co.'s Party Proof Cream Lipstick in the color 'Pinking of You'. This also contains mineral oil, but I'm less concerned with it being applied on my lips, correct me if I'm wrong. I love the sleek white and crome like packaging with the mirror on the side. I can't even tell you how many times I've needed to touch up my lipstick while walking and had to yank out my iphone because I couldn't find my mirror buried somewhere in the village of what's called my purse! This is extremely helpful, since it's right on the cover of the lipstick. It's so funny because I've been looking for a pink this shade for a while and I could show you my pink lipstick collection all in search of this color, so I'm really excited about it! It definitely has a creamy finish and it's build-able  so if you don't want such a baby pink lip, you can apply a thin coat and it'll give a nice sheen finish, as seen below in the flash photo.

I hope you guys enjoyed this fun and different style post and I look forward to doing more in the future. I do like to play around with makeup, too, so I think it would be great for me to share some of my thoughts and experiences with here with you as well. What do you think?!
