Happy Monday beautiful!

I've been a member of Influenster for about two years now and have loved the experience thus far. I've had the ability to learn about great products that I might not have tried had I not received them to review. When I received the test to determine if I'd be a match to review the Yves Saint Laurent Vox Box, which included two products-the 'Touche Eclat Blur Primer and 'Touche Eclat' Blur Perfector, I was extremely excited because I've never tried any of the YSL beauty products before. I've always wanted to, I mean who wouldn't?! They look so luxurious with the gold accents that any woman, including myself, would feel like royalty using them! However, they are really pricy and I struggle with purchasing an expensive product that I'm not familiar with and if you're like me, hopefully this review will be helpful to you if you've been eyeing these products specifically. I've been using both products nearly every day since the day I received them in the mail about two weeks ago and here are my honest thoughts on each:

'TOUCHE ECLAT BLUR PRIMER' - This product claims to blur imperfections, minimize pores, smooth and even out skin texture, and enhance the radiance of foundation. Did it do all of the above for my skin? No. It did minimize my pores and left my skin feeling ultra soft with subtle hints of gold specs, which I loved, especially since it's summer, so it gives a sun-kissed look in the sun, however, that does go away after the foundation is on. At least it did for me-I used the Tarte Amazonian foundation, which is full coverage, so that could be why it vanished. I didn't notice that it did anything with my skin's natural redness around the nostrils or acne blemishes; I still had to use concealer to help with those areas and my skin still looked bumpy where I had acne once applied. Would I suggest you use it? That would all depend on your skin type and makeup routine/goals. I do have sensitive skin (eczema and acne prone skin) and I didn't experience an allergic reaction, so if that's a concern for you, I wouldn't be concerned. If you're looking for a primer that will create a smooth and even surface for your foundation, I wouldn't suggest it if you have acne, it didn't help with the texture of those flareups, as mentioned. However, if you don't have acne prone or irritated (red/patchy) skin, I'd say try it, you might like it, since it does create a nice consistent smooth finish and serve as a great base for your foundation.

'TOUCHE ECLAT BLUR PERFECTOR' - A balm in texture and appearance which changes to a powder formula once applied to the skin. It claims to blur imperfections, minimize pores, smooth and even out skin texture to create a more uniformed appearance with a slight rosy-gold effect. Did it do all of this to my skin? Yes. I used it as a finishing powder under my eye area to set my concealer and for my t-zone for the shine, but it could be used alone without any foundation. When using this product, I noticed that I didn't have to touch up my forehead (which is always shiny that you can fry an egg on it most days, haha) as often as I typically would. Since it provided a nice matte finish, my pores weren't as visible, which are pretty large above my cheekbones/under-eye area. It did leave a rosy finish, which helped enhance the concealer I used under the eye (and prevented it from creasing), forehead and chin, which I liked. My only complaint is that I would've wished that there would've been a compartment within the compact for the sponge applicator it comes with so I wouldn't need to carry a separate brush in my makeup bag to touch up, but that's minor. So would I suggest you give this product a try? Yes. I does what it claims to do and the packaging is gorgeous!

I hope you enjoyed this review and found it helpful, especially if you were considering purchasing these specific products. Have you used any Yves Saint Laurent beauty products before? If so, what are you favorites and why? I'd love to know. I have my eye on one of their legendary lipsticks, that packaging is life!

Hello Gorgeous Ladies!

It's finally the weekend and there's no better day than Friday, especially during the summer, wouldn't you agree?! My favorite color is pink and my second is red, it once was the other way around. As much as I love red, surprisingly, I don't have too many pieces with this bold vibrant color in my closet. When I saw this jumpsuit about a year ago at Marshalls, I knew I had to get it; I fell in love with the back! This would be a perfect option for a summer date night. The color is synonymous with love and jumpsuits can give a dressier vibe than let's say a maxi dress. I decided to pair it with gold accents because I love wearing red and gold and it's the metal I reach for the most during summer because it looks great with a tan, as does rose gold!

If you're not familiar with my YouTube videos, I did a video in which I explained how to select jumpsuits and maxi dresses for your body shape, which you can watch here. This jumpsuit was featured, but styled in a much more casual way. Speaking of casual, do you remember when I styled this look last 4th of July weekend (see post here)?! I simply love this jumpsuit because of it's versatility and I'm challenging myself to come up with more looks to wear and share, so keep an eye out!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous and stylish weekend ;)

Hey Loves!

Today's post is 100% inspirational for me and I hope it is for you, too! The minute I saw this dress from Dorothy Perkins (which is currently $17 here!) I immediately began to imagine how it would look with royal purple accents and embellished pieces. I spotted this Fendi purse a few days ago and have been swooning over it ever since. Yeah, it's quite pricey, but a girl can certainly dream! Ah, the outfits I'd create for this purse..well, in the meantime, I'll just have to continue to create virtual looks, haha!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Happy Hump Day!

Today's post is yet another bold look featuring a combination of mixed patterns and punches of color. This would be the perfect option to wear to work; you could substitute the colorful heels with basic black pumps and add a solid black blazer to tone down the look, but I would personally wear it as is in the office :) I've been on the hunt for a statement layered necklace for a while now and the one's I've come across didn't offer enough detail and layers as I would've liked. So when I was presented with the opportunity to collaborate with Happiness Boutique and saw their selection of statement necklaces, I was floored! This, to me, is the perfect versatile statement necklace anyone can own. Why? It can dress up any basic tee and would look amazing gracing the collar of a basic white button-up! I loved how it looked with this striped tee because it fit perfectly within the neckline, yet had a bit of an overlap, which I really really loved!

Now I know that there are many of you out there that feel insecure about your wider hips and butt, and so you turn to black as a way to conceal what I feel you should really embrace! The way to embrace those bountiful curves is to create some dimension up top and this can be done quite easily using some very simple styling strategies. For one, when wearing a bold colored pant like the one I'm wearing, opt for additional color, white, or a striped tee (this will visually widen your upper body) to balance out the attention placed on the hips. To complete the look, add a statement necklace to once again create some interest to your upper body and to add some dimension, since most of yours will be in the hips and booty (ain't nothin' wrong with that honey)!

I hope this post was helpful and most of all, inspirational! Don't forget to check out Happiness Boutique for some awesome and affordable statement pieces!

PONCHO: Caché (similar style here)  //  SHORTS: Marshalls (similar style here)  // NECKLACE: Charming Charlie (similar style here)  // BRACELET: Alexis Bittar from TjMaxx (similar style here)  // SHOES: Gucci from DSW (similar style on sale here)

Hey Babes!

I love to wear ponchos every season, they're comfy and add interest and dimension to any outfit, making it a fun piece to work with. This look features my summer poncho which is one of my favorite summer pieces because of the color and print combination. It also has small perforated holes all throughout, making it breathable and more comfortable to wear this time of year. I decided to pair it with a pair of white color blocked shorts, which tied in with the black and white found within the print. For the shoes, I selected a purple pair to pull out the color found within the poncho, since the dominant color of the piece is pink.

As I mentioned earlier, ponchos are a favorite of mine because the provides physical comfort, but emotional as well! With a poncho, it's easier to conceal the aftermath of a hefty meal, while remaining chic and secure, hehe!

Thank so much for stopping by and I hope your day is amazing!
