Hey Girlies!

Today's post will hopefully get you started on your 4th of July holiday (outfit) planning. It's a special holiday for us Americans and many of us will be celebrating in various settings, so I wanted to put together a set of looks I came up with for any occasion that you'd be able to pull ideas from or even shop the set you like the most. I hope you find it helpful :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and are off to a great start to your week. Today's look is one that's perfect for a summer event, such as a brunch or baby shower. It features a rose and gold combination that I feel is perfect for summer. The tunic is actually a dress, but it would be way too short on it's own, which is why I decided to pair it with these light and breathable leggings. Since the top and leggings have detail and shimmer, I wanted to through in a matte solid, which is why I selected these sandals.

I also wanted to note that since the front and back of the tunic are low and have a bunch of cut outs and details, I used nipple covers because wearing a bra with this was out of the question. A few months ago, Bye Bra reached out to me to review their covers and since I knew I would definitely be needing/wearing them at some point during the summer, I decided to try them out. The one's I'm wearing are their free silicone nipple covers and they're quite comfortable and I would suggest you give them a try. They have a sticky substance on the inner part of the cover, which holds firmly to the breast and it also comes with a breast lift tape for additional support (you can read more on them here).

What do you think of the look? Share your thoughts in the comments' section and thanks so much for stopping by :)

Happy Friday!

Ah, yes, a happy Friday indeed! It's been a very long week for me, as I'm sure it's been for you, so cheers to the end of the week and to the much needed relaxation for the weekend ahead. Today's look is a perfect weekend look, it's casual and feminine, perfect for a very relaxed brunch or hanging with girlfriends. It features a classic print duo, floral and stripes. You know that I love pattern mixing, but I understand that it can be a bit challenging to try and determine which prints go well together. When in doubt, wear these two, they are guaranteed to go well and it'll add some fun to your look. It's also a combination that would be perfect to wear for work. I only have one suggestion as it applies to body shapes. If you are an apple or rectangular shape, I'd suggest you avoid wearing the stripes on top, especially if it features white or a light color as the base color; it will make your upper body appear that much wider. In the case of my fellow pear shapes, it works because we tend to be narrow on top in comparison to our wider hips, so it essentially balances us out.

I hope you enjoyed the post and that it gave you some inspiration to wear to your weekend gathering. Oh, speaking of, this would be a perfect print duo for a baby shower, too!

Hey Gorgeous,

A trend I've been seeing all over Instagram are statement sneakers. These kicks are fashionable and are a great way to be comfy and stylish at the same time without looking too juvenile (who doesn't want to look like one just a little?! ;). I used to love sneakers when I was younger, from Jordan's to Huaraches, I had them all; it was apart of being a cool inner city kid. Throughout the years I kind of shied away from wearing them with an outfit, although I've worn sneaker wedges a few times on the blog, but these trendy styles have got my attention! What I love about them is that they're black and white and have the perfect amount of detail to make a statement. I'd pair them with a pair of distressed jeans and basic tank for a cool girl vibe or leather leggings come fall/winter.

What do you think?! How would you style them?

Hey Loves,

Today's look is super fun and colorful, perfect for summer! You all know how much I love color, it makes me happy. There have been many studies that have proved that color helps enhance our positive emotions and when it's darker, such as the winter months or when it rains, we are more likely to become depressed or sad. So, I try to surround myself with as much color as possible and I love challenging myself in creating looks that feature an assortment of such, that truly blend beautifully in a way that hopefully inspires all of you. One of my favorite colors to wear during the summer is orange. I feel that it's a color that looks fantastic on all skin and hair tones; it also makes the skin appear more luminescent, in my opinion.

As for the body shapes, there are a few things I would suggest you keep in mind if you are an apple shape. The kind of top I'm wearing adds volume to the upper body, as you can see. If you are concerned with adding unwanted additional volume to your bust and midsection, which tends to be the largest areas for this particular shape, I would suggest you select a different style top, such as the one in the set I created below. The front wrap will prevent any additional volume from being added, while maintaining your natural shape. Also, since this shape tends to have thinner legs in comparison to the upper body, I would suggest you consider a lighter wash denim rinse. The reason is that the darker the denim, the leaner your legs will appear and it can make the upper body appear larger. I'm wearing a pairing that would be ideal for the pear shape, but any of the remaining shapes, rectangular or hourglass, could wear any of the two options I provided.
