Happy Friday!

Father's Day is Sunday and many of us are trying to figure out what the perfect gift would be for all the special dads in our lives, as if it's not hard enough figuring them out every other day throughout the year! Well, I've come to discover that it really isn't all that difficult as we may have thought. With some personal experience and having spoke to and read comments written on other platforms by dads (one dad mentioned he had underwear older than some of the other blog readers-hint, hint), I've put together a perfect gift guide containing six must haves for any dad, all under $100!

I hope you found this gift guide helpful!

Hey Girlies,

I hope you're all having an amazing day so far! Can you believe the weekend is right around the corner?! It's crazy how much time flies. Since Sunday is Father's Day, as well as the first official day of summer, I wanted to create an outfit that can hopefully give you an idea on what you can wear if you'll be attending a brunch to celebrate your dad or any man that has been apart of your life and represents a father figure. I'd first like to mention that if you're a single mom, your dad has passed, or grew up without a dad and was raised by a single mom, I think you or her should be celebrated again. Yes, Mother's Day was last month, but the reality is, unfortunately, many women are carrying both burdens, so they should be celebrated (everyday) on both holidays. If that's you, get dressed this Sunday and do something special!

I love leopard prints with a white or light base during the warmer months, although the traditional print works all year long. I feel it gives off a very light and breezy feel, one that is enhanced when paired with white pants. You've heard me mention many times how white reflects light, so it can make us appear a little heavier than we actually are; especially in pictures and with flash! If you are bottom heavy, generally the case for us pear or hourglass shapes, try wearing a top that's a bit more flowy in style that can be easily tucked in to create volume and dimension to the top, essentially balancing out the bottom portion, if you're concerned you'll appear larger; that's what I did with this look. This is also a great strategy for the rectangular shapes, since it can create an emphasis on the waistline by reestablishing the upper and lower portions of the body.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found inspiration from it. I'll see you all back here tomorrow with another post!

Happy Wednesday beauties!

Today's look is super fun and urban chic. The statement piece in the look are these paint splattered skinny jeans, which I'm in love with. A few months ago, I saw a pair of Ralph Lauren painted boyfriend jeans I really liked, but it was at a price I wasn't willing to spend. Ever since seeing them, I couldn't get the print out of my head and when I stumbled upon these Hudson Jeans, which were on sale and the last in my size, I knew I'd be foolish not to get them, so I did. Since they're such a statement, I decided to pair them with a basic grey tank and iridescent heels, which I also love. I added a lot of accessories to tie in with the urban vibe I wanted to create. They helped to reinforce the roughness the jeans can give off (depending upon how they're styled). All in all, I really love the way the look came together. I think I said love a lot in this post; you can definitely tell how I feel about each piece, haha! Anyway, I hope you like the look and feel inspired to recreate it on yourselves!

Hey everyone!

I hope you're all having an amazing day so far. Today's look is very feminine, with a combination of pink and beige. Pink, to me, is the definition of all things feminine, when it comes to colors. What I love about it is that different shades exude different sides of femininity; the lighter the shade, the softer the feel (our sensitivity) and the darker, the more intense and daring, similar to the emotions affiliated with red. Speaking of colors, if you missed my video on what the different colors we wear mean, watch that video here, I'm sure you'll learn something new! Now back to the look. I decided to pair these hot pink shorts with this beige ruffled satin-like blouse, since the shorts have a layer matching the color peaking through the cut out laser design on the sides. I originally planned on wearing nude shoes, but then I thought it would be more fun and summery if I paired it with these rainbow printed sandals. Since the shoes have green, I decided to through in my lime green purse. I love the way the entire look came together. It still amazes me how we can start off our look with one piece and by adding to it, creating a cohesive look!

One thing I want to point out is, do you notice how my legs appear much longer? That's because the top is tucked in and the shorts are high waisted. I would suggest this or a similar look to those of you who feel that your torsos are too long or that your legs appear shorter, or of course you just want to create the illusion of longer, leaner legs :) I've been asked this question frequently on how to achieve this effect and this look is a perfect example. I also have an entire YouTube video playlist dedicated to dressing and styling according to your height and frame, which you can watch here

Thanks so much for stopping by and check back again tomorrow for a new post!
